Communication Specialist with solid writing skills both in French and in English, and extensive international experience.
I served as UNICEF Burkina Faso's Communication Specialist for four years (March 2006-August 2009) after a three-year experience with IUCN- the World Conservation Union through its regional office for West Africa always in Burkina Faso.
While in the DR Congo, my home country, I served as international politics columnist for six years.
My core competencies include the following:

writing and editing skills both in English and in French with working knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese.

I hold a Master's degree in sciences of information and communication, majoring in journalism and International politics.
5 contacts2006 - 2009Enhanced UNICEF Burkina Faso’s visibility in West Africa and worldwide through networking with and organization of field visits of international media in support of children-related issues in Burkina Faso and through collaboration on the production of multimedia communication materials and web stories;
Supported UNICEF Burkina Faso’s fundraising efforts through the development and nurturing of partnerships with National Committees for UNICEF and donor representatives from Western Europe, North America, East Asia and other regions;
Ensured quality assurance of the Representative’s official speeches;
Coordinated production of UNICEF Burkina Faso’s country kit and associated communication materials (project profiles, fact sheets...);
Trained 30 UNICEF programme officers and partners in communication for fundraising.
2003 - 2006IUCN is an international NGO dedicated to nature conservation, headquartered in Switzerland. Its mission is to strive to promote the sustainable management of natural resources.
Below are some of my selected accomplishments during my tenure in office:
Assisted IUCN staff throughout West Africa to mainstream new strategy and policy into programme and project activities in the development of their communication components;
Coordinated the production of IUCN regional office’s electronic thematic news bulletin, Kibaar;
Coordinated regional annual reports of IUCN covering eight countries;
Managed IUCN’s regional office website;
Publicized IUCN West Africa Regional office-sponsored activities through networking and systematic circulation of electronic updates;
Developed media relations to support the enhancement of the visibility of IUCN-sponsored projects and activities.
1997 - 2003This is a faith-based non Profit Making Association bringing together approximately 65 protestant congregations in the DR Congo.
Below are some of my accomplishments during my tenure in office:
Facilitated communication training of the Church of Chris Congo’s 15 regional correspondents;
Coordinated the Church’s 10 issues of DIP newsletters;
Coordinated 35 audio journals of the Church-owned radio news;
Key Interpreter from English into French and vice versa of SANRU – a USAID-funded leading Primary Health care programme in DR Congo.
1996 - 2003This is one of the DR Congo's leading general news dailies. I served in this newspaper as international politics columnist.
Below are some of my selected accomplishments:
Produced feature stories on the armed conflict in Congo-Brazzaville, Japan’s economy and politics, elections in various African countries (Mozambique, Burundi…)...;
Supervised weekly issues of the newspaper (selection of news, rewriting, layout design, supervision of trainees’ assignments…).
